Preparation for one of the world’s most important automotive industry events is in full swing. From November 26 to 29, 2025, Automechanika Shanghai is expected to welcome a record number of participants — 7,000 exhibitors across 383,000 sq. m. Thanks to the organizers — Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd and China National Machinery Industry International Co Ltd — for the first time in its history, the exhibition will occupy all 15 halls of the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai.
The exhibition will cover the entire automotive value chain — from research and production to sales and aftersales — offering solutions for a rapidly evolving market.
For representatives of the Russian and CIS markets, the exhibition provides a unique opportunity to explore cutting-edge technologies in electrification and digitalization of the auto industry, find new business partners among Asian manufacturers, and discover promising cooperation opportunities in the fast-growing new energy vehicle (NEV)segment.
More than half of the exhibitors will present solutions in NEV and related technologies. Exhibits will also include spare parts and components, electrical and electronic systems, accessories and customization, diagnostics, repair, bodywork and painting. Over 60% of exhibitors will showcase products for commercial vehicles, underlining the sector’s key role in logistics and mobility.

New sectors will highlight hot spots of the automotive market:
- The “New Energy and Connected Vehicles” sector will expand by 50% to 39,000 sq. m, featuring battery, motor, and electrical system management, charging, replacement and storage technologies, hydrogen fuel cells, connected driving systems, smart chassis, and thermal management.
- The Innovation4Mobility Zone will serve as a “window to the future” with product demos and forums.
- The Startup Zone will present technologies from research institutes, universities, and young companies ready for commercialization.
- The “Digital Services and Solutions” sector will show how digitalization is transforming the industry — from cross-border e-commerce and smart logistics to automated warehouses and supply chain management.
- The “Tires and Wheels” sector will grow by 50%, driven by the EV industry’s rising demand for specialized solutions. Increased weight and new technical requirements are pushing manufacturers to design stronger and more energy-efficient products.
The program of events focused on international cooperation will also expand: around 80 events will take place, covering topics such as electrification, digital services, sustainability, and supply chain transformation. Key highlights include the International Automotive Industry Conference 2025, focused on global trends’ impact on supply chains, markets, and regulation; the Automotive Industry Talent Development Conference 2025, dedicated to training specialists and engaging Gen Z; and a new series of technical seminars where global experts will discuss electric drives, thermal management, autonomous driving, new materials, and tires.
Participants will benefit from the Match Up business meeting program, industrial site visits, and the Global Collective project, which will showcase investment opportunities and prospects in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and South America. For businesses from Russia and the CIS, the event is especially relevant for studying the experience of Chinese companies in electromobility, establishing direct component and equipment supplies, and finding technology partners for localization.
Last year, Automechanika Shanghai set a new record by welcoming participants from over 180 countries and regions. The exhibition continues to create an environment for technological exchange and international cooperation, strengthening its position as one of the most influential global automotive platforms for networking and showcasing innovations.
