Plastex Qazaqstan 2025 - international exhibition of plastics and chemical industry

Plastex Qazaqstan 2025, Kazakhstan's first international exhibition of plastics and chemical industry, will take place from 12 to 14 November at the Atakent Exhibition Complex (Almaty).

The major industry event will bring together leading manufacturers, suppliers and consumers of plastics, rubbers, polymers and chemical products. The exhibition will feature the following sections:

• Equipment and technologies for production of plastics, rubbers and polymers;
• Equipment for processing, recycling and utilisation;
• Raw materials, polymer materials and additives;
• Products from plastics, rubbers and polymer materials
• Technologies, raw materials and equipment for chemical industry.

Plastex Qazaqstan 2025 is designed to become a key professional platform promoting the development of the plastics and chemicals industry in Kazakhstan and Central Asian countries. The development of the plastics and chemical industry in Kazakhstan not only reflects global trends, but is also a strategic step towards increasing the country's industrial independence. 2024 statistics show stable growth in key segments of the chemical industry and active investments.

The Bureau of National Statistics reports that Kazakhstan's manufacturing industry showed a 4.8% year-on-year growth in 2024. In particular, chemical production increased by 9.5%. As of 1 February 2024, there were 1,086 enterprises engaged in chemical production in the country, an 11% increase compared to the same period in 2023.

Last year's statistics proves the high potential of the sector and makes involvement in Plastex Qazaqstan particularly meaningful: it is here that companies can take leading positions in the emerging market, build new production chains, strengthen export potential and contribute to the sustainable industrial development of Kazakhstan. The Kazakhstan Chemical Industry Union reports that the country's chemical industry is showing strong growth rates: since 2020, the volume of output has increased by more than 30%. In the context of industrialisation and import substitution, innovative solutions in the field of plastics processing, sustainable polymer materials and green chemistry are of particular relevance.

The exhibition welcomed professional guests. More than 70% of them represented agricultural enterprises and farms, 9% - were from industry associations and unions, 7% - regional and federal officials, 6% - researchers, 4% - graduate students of agrarian universities, 4% - managers and specialists of companies operating in the agricultural industry.
