The 19th International Commercial Vehicle Exhibition, COMTRANS 2026, took place from September 22 to 25 at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Center. Russia’s largest industry event brought together manufacturers of commercial vehicles, automotive components, and equipment, as well as representatives from the business sector, government bodies, and the professional community.
One of the exhibition's key new features was COMTRANS Drive—a large-scale commercial vehicle test-drive event boasting the longest test track in Russia. This new format allowed participants not only to view the vehicles on display but also to evaluate their performance firsthand while driving.
117 companies and commercial vehicle premieres
A total of 117 companies from four countries participated in the exhibition. The showcase featured cargo, passenger, and specialized vehicles, as well as automotive components and service equipment.
COMTRANS 2026 served as a venue for a wide range of premieres—from autonomous long-haul trucks to armored minivans. Participating companies and manufacturers of these new products included KAMAZ, MAZ, Ural, Sollers, AvtoVAZ, RariTEK, Shacman, Navio, Betsema, Specpricep, Cargonomika, Tonar, Uralavtopritsep, Koluman, and others.
COMTRANS Arena: 13 sessions and 101 speakers
A key component of the program was the COMTRANS Arena business forum, which hosted 13 sessions over four days, featuring 101 speakers and 818 delegates.
Government officials, executives from major enterprises and industry associations, and experts discussed pressing issues regarding the development of the commercial vehicle market and the industry's future outlook. The business program served as a platform for direct dialogue between the business community and government authorities.
COMTRANS Drive: over 400 test drives
The debut of the test-drive event was a highlight of COMTRANS 2026. Ten companies participated in COMTRANS Drive, showcasing 19 vehicles. Over the course of four days, 237 participants completed more than 400 test runs.
The event featured vehicles from brands such as KAMAZ, MAZ, Sollers, Lotos, FOTON, JAC, SITRAK, Shacman, and Daewoo. This format enabled potential customers to move from simply viewing the vehicles to evaluating them in practice and engaging in business negotiations.
Support from leading industry organizations
The opening of COMTRANS 2026 took place with the participation of the leadership of Tatarstan, representatives of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, and leading figures from the automotive industry.
The exhibition is included in the annual event calendar of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and was held under the patronage of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, with the official support of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) and ASMAP.
