The spin-off GreenTech Americas 2020 will take place from March 24 to 26, 2020 at Queretaro Centro de Congresos Queretaro, Mexico and will be jointly organised with Tarsus Mexico.
RAI Amsterdam is taking its event for horticultural technology professionals to Mexico. RAI Amsterdam sees this as a logical step, as Mexico is a major agricultural producer, the number of hectares under protected agriculture is growing exponentially and it is the gateway to the US, Canada and South America.
Mariska Dreschler, director of Horticulture GreenTech: "We believe that with GreenTech Amsterdam as a global platform we should reach out to the emerging markets in the world. We need a regional platform in the western part of the world to meet the regional needs of the growers. By organising GreenTech Americas, we are able to address the specific needs of the growers and suppliers from this emerging region. Looking at, for example, the specific climates, the producers and consumer needs, we believe that GreenTech Americas will complement the portfolio of the domain Horticulture strategically."
