Metal Expo Istanbul 2026, an international exhibition for steel products and technologies, will take place at the Istanbul Expo Center from September 16–18, 2026. For its eighth edition, the event will bring together key players from across the industry — from steel producers and traders to steel service centers and suppliers of equipment, automation technologies and production solutions.
This year, the exhibition is set to expand significantly. The organizers expect around 400 companies and brands and more than 30,000 industry professionals, while the exhibition area will cover 42,850 sq. m. By comparison, Metal Expo welcomed 19,101 international visitors in 2025 — 30% more than the previous year.
Istanbul — at the Crossroads of European and Asian Markets
One of Metal Expo Istanbul’s key advantages is its location. Türkiye lies at the crossroads of Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa, while its close economic integration with the EU makes Istanbul a strategic platform for companies seeking to strengthen international supply chains and expand into new export markets.
Metal Expo is therefore positioned not simply as an industry showcase, but as an international business platform where producers, buyers, distributors and technology suppliers can meet directly to discuss new contracts, markets and opportunities for cooperation.

From Steel Production to Automation
The exhibition covers virtually the entire steel production and supply chain. Visitors will be able to explore:
- steel and special alloys, stainless and galvanized steel;
- tubes, profiles and flat steel products;
- products from steel manufacturers and steel service centers;
- steel production and processing equipment and production lines;
- industrial furnaces and heat treatment equipment;
- cutting, forming and surface treatment technologies;

- lifting and material handling equipment.
A special focus of Metal Expo Istanbul 2026 will be “Smart Steel, Smarter Future”, highlighting smart manufacturing, technological transformation and more sustainable approaches to the future of the steel industry.
A Platform for Industry Dialogue
The exhibition will be complemented by a comprehensive business program. Metal Expo Istanbul will once again host the Transformation at Steel Conference, organized in cooperation with SteelOrbis, as well as industry sessions involving professional associations and organizations.
Discussions will focus on changes in the global steel market, emerging technologies, the transformation of steel production and international trade.
The event will also offer additional networking opportunities. On the first day of the exhibition, an official reception supported by Fastmarkets will bring together steel producers, traders, service centers, technology companies and other industry professionals.
