Climate World 2026: An AI Engineering Championship and New Solutions for Climate Control Systems

Climate World 2026: An AI Engineering Championship and New Solutions for Climate Control Systems

How do designs developed using traditional methods differ from those created with artificial intelligence? An engineering championship at Climate World 2026 will put these approaches to the test. The competition will complement the equipment exhibition and business programme of the 22nd International Exhibition for Air Conditioning, Ventilation, Heating and Refrigeration Systems, taking place on November 10–13 at Crocus Expo in Moscow.

Climate Control Equipment: From Ventilation to Automation

Exhibitors will present equipment for residential, commercial, retail and industrial facilities. Confirmed exhibitors include ERA GROUP, BREEZART, MINIBOX, FRIVENT, ALTERVIA, GIDROLOCK, CINALAB, HUMIDEX and other companies. The exhibition will also feature equipment and components from Chinese manufacturers.

Products on display will include air conditioning and ventilation systems, duct humidifiers and dehumidifiers, filtration equipment, automation and supervisory control systems. The exhibition will also cover installation accessories, consumables, leak protection solutions, water preparation and treatment. Design, installation, commissioning and maintenance services will be presented separately.

The November dates coincide with the period when companies prepare budgets and procurement plans for the following year. Clients and designers will be able to compare manufacturers’ offerings before approving their designs, while suppliers can discuss customers’ requirements for the next season.

B2B Tours: Meetings Tailored to Procurement Requirements

Major corporate and public-sector buyers will be offered B2B tours — prearranged meetings with exhibitors at their stands. Each itinerary will be tailored to the buyers’ procurement requirements and the exhibitors’ areas of expertise.

Discussions will focus on specific projects, including equipment specifications, delivery schedules and service support arrangements.

Business Programme: Design, Installation and Operation

Discussions will cover the entire lifecycle of an engineering solution — from initial data and calculations to installation, commissioning and operation on site. Programme topics include:

  • development of the climate control industry and technological partnerships;
  • data centre cooling and industrial ventilation;
  • changes to regulatory documentation;
  • design, installation, servicing and operation of building services systems;
  • climate control solutions for individual homes, hotels, sports complexes and ice arenas;
  • the relationship between engineering and interior design.

The business programme will feature representatives of the Russian Union of Refrigeration Industry Enterprises (Rossoyuzkholodprom), the AVOK non-profit partnership, the International Academy of Refrigeration, the Climate Association — a union of climate control and engineering companies — and the MZhS Association.

Climate Expo Awards and the “Designer vs AI Engineer” Championship

November 10 will see the presentation of the Climate Expo Awards in two special categories: “Person of the Year” and “Domestic Product of the Year”. The awards recognise the achievements of Russian manufacturers and developers in air conditioning, ventilation, heating, and industrial and commercial refrigeration.

On November 13, the exhibition will host the final of the “Designer vs AI Engineer” engineering championship for the first time. A designer using traditional methods and an engineer working with artificial intelligence tools will receive the same comprehensive case study involving the design of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.

Viewers will be able to follow the participants’ work through a live broadcast. Experts will compare speed, calculation accuracy and the reasoning behind the solutions, assessing anonymised final submissions. The championship is organised by the OSNOVA Competence Centre, an autonomous non-profit organisation providing continuing professional education, and the Climate Association.

Climate World 2026 will take place in Pavilion 2, Hall 5 at Crocus Expo. Visitors can register to obtain a free electronic ticket.
